Virginia Zoglio was born and raised in a little village in the South of Italy, where the nature and the countryside lifestyle shaped her curiosity on understanding the mechanisms influencing human health and disease. After graduating from the University of Milan in 2021, Virginia joined an exchange program in Paris in the lab of Professor Fred Relaix, where she later completed her PhD in 2025. Her research there focused on uncovering MuSC heterogeneity during muscle repair. In February 2026, Virginia joined the Rando Lab at UCLA, continuing to explore her interest in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy. As a postdoctoral fellow, her work will focus on studying the processes driving myotendinous junction repair and tissue adaptation following eccentric exercise.

In her free time, Virginia loves cooking Italian dishes, reading novels, and dancing. She is also learning to surf to fully embrace the Los Angeles lifestyle!
