June is a graduate student in the Cell & Developmental Biology Home Area of UCLA's Graduate Programs in Bioscience. He studied at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology with a major in biotechnology before joining UCLA. There, he worked on the regulation of quiescence and activation in muscle stem cells with Dr. Tom Cheung. He is generally interested in understanding the role of both muscle stem cells and the muscle as an organ in health and aging. Outside the lab, he likes to put his research on muscle and aging into practice by going to the gym or playing tennis and soccer to reap the science-based benefits of exercise.
